Ultrasound Guided Biopsy
An ultrasound-guided biopsy is used to sample areas in many of the body organs such as the breast, kidney and liver. Ultrasound is used to guide the Radiologist to precise placement of the needle for the biopsy and tissue sampling performed using a specialised spring biopsy needle .
Ultrasound guided injection
A variety of conditions relating to joints and tendons are treated by injection of medication into the tissue responsible for the symptoms.
Precise placement of the injected drug can be obtained when the fine needle is inserted with ultrasound guidance.
