Nil by mouth for six hours before the appointment time.
A full bladder is required for this examination. The patient will empty their bladder one hour before the appointment and immediately drink one litre of water.
The Examination
The Sonographer or Radiologist will perform the examination which takes 20 - 30 minutes.
Post Examination
No after care is necessary
The images and a report will be sent to the patient.
