TRG Group - one of New Zealand's largest private radiology groups was established in 2004, and has practices in Northland, Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Taupo, Hawke's Bay and Gisborne.
The head office is in Takapuna, Auckland.
TRG Group is radiologist owned. It brings together the skills and expertise of five leading private radiology companies: Northern Radiology, The Radiology Group, Lakes Radiology, Waikato Radiology (formerly Hamilton Medex) and Hawke's Bay Radiology. Several of these practices were established over 30 years ago.
Our practices use the latest technology and have significant sub-specialist skills, providing a wide range of diagnostic services, including x-ray, ultrasound, mammography, CT and MRI. In addition, they contract radiology services to a number of DHB's, and take part in public health initiatives, such as BreastScreen Aotearoa.
TRG Group employs approximately 180 staff, including 22 Radiologists in 22 clinics throughout the upper North Island.

Clinical Managing Director Dr Mike Baker MRCP, FRANZCR
Mike was Managing Director of The Radiology Group and contributed to the significant growth of the practice from three branches to more than 12 branches in the Auckland region over the last 18 years. He was instrumental in setting up the MRI businesses based in the public hospitals, Auckland's North Shore and in Whangarei.
Mike was involved in the set up of TRG Group, bringing together several well established regional radiology practices into one company in 2004. He has been Managing Director of TRG Group since its inception.
Mike is a practising radiologist and works in Auckland at The Radiology Group, North Shore Hospital, BreastScreen Waitemata and Northland.
He is a director of several radiology related companies.
Chairman David Clarke BE (Hons) ME, BBS, MBA, FNZIM
David has significant commercial experience as a director and manager in Health IT and Biotechnology. He brings a strong background in organizations management, corporate governance and group funding to TRG Group.
David was formerly the CEO of Counties Manukau District Health Board for 6 years based at Middlemore Hospital, was CEO of Neuren, a leading publicly listed biotechnology company and is currently a Director of Cranleigh Merchant Bank, and Chairman and Director of several other privately held companies. He is a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management .
Independent Director Robert (Bob) Parkinson FCA
Bob currently holds directorships in a number of public and privately held companies. He has extensive management experience in the health sector with advisory management and consultancy appointments to a large number of private medical providers.
Bob is a former senior partner of Brown Woolley Graham Chartered Accountants (now Grant Thornton) in Auckland and is a past member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and foundation member of the New Zealand Trustees Association.
Chief Executive Officer Tom Hart
Tom has been involved in healthcare in New Zealand and overseas through the Pharmaceutical Industry for nearly 25 years holding a number of sales and marketing roles with several leading companies. More recently Tom was Managing Director for nearly 14 years with AstraZeneca with responsibility for leadership of subsidiaries in Malaysia and Singapore and before that New Zealand.
This healthcare experience allows Tom to combine the commercial, clinical and patient related aspects of the business for TRG Group.
